Tiny Homes Project
NJCD will partner with a local organization to construct a community of tiny homes. The homes would provide transitional housing for members of the community who are seeking stable living conditions. The homes would be available without cost to individuals needing housing. Residents would commit to a code of conduct in order to live on site. In lieu of monthly rent, participants would serve in the community in ways that support the mission of having NO POOR AMONG THEM.
The goal would be to have residents to participate in the building process for their home, and then pass on the skills they learn as more homes are constructed.

Native American
Opportunity Center
NJCD is partnering with the Native American Opportunity Center in Independence, MO. The mission of the center is to provide employment services, housing support, and education resources to Native American individuals and families who desire these opportunities.
Daily Bread
NJCD will offer a monetary grant to individuals, or groups who can facilitate medium-scale production of fresh baked bread. The bread would be available to members of the community either without cost, or in exchange for service in the community.
Community members with adequate financial resources would be invited to give a donation in exchange for bread. The goal of the project would be to have production capacity of 100 loaves of bread within our community each day. This would be a food source not dependent on supply chains outside of Independence, MO. Those receiving bread will have opportunities to serve and learn alongside the bread bakers.

Urban Farming
NJCD will offer a monetary grant to individuals or groups for urban farming and food production initiatives. Funds can be used for land, supplies, equipment, livestock, etc. The goal would be to provide locally produced fruits and vegetables, eggs, dairy, or meat. The food produced in these farming efforts would be used to feed needy individuals and families in the community.
